But this requires more than an AI model. AI agents need reliable APIs, structured data, clear business rules and secure access to enterprise systems.
Therefore, GIS modernization is increasingly becoming an AI-readiness initiative.

Utilities do not need to replace everything at once. A phased approach is often more effective:

Prioritize business-critical applications and workflows.
